Cloud infrastructure and DevOps in Hyderabad
Hyderabad now has cloud regions from both AWS and Azure, which gives teams here a real choice of where to run and where to recover. A primary region in Mumbai with recovery in Hyderabad, or the reverse, puts a genuine second location close to home. For a GCC, the parent's landing zone and account structure usually come first, and the Indian workloads have to fit inside them without a year of back-and-forth with the central team.

Hyderabad's technology economy grew around HITEC City, set up in 1998, and spread west through Gachibowli and the Financial District. It is where Microsoft runs one of its largest research and development centres outside Redmond and where Amazon opened what it described as its largest campus building, in 2019. JLL counts more than 355 global capability centres in the city, the in-house engineering and operations offices of foreign companies, employing over 200,000 people, which makes it the second-largest GCC hub in India. Those centres set the local price of an experienced engineer, and every other employer in the city, startups included, hires against them.
The second pillar is life sciences. Genome Valley, the pharmaceutical manufacturers on the city's edge and a fast-growing set of pharma GCCs make Hyderabad unusual: according to the same JLL research, nine of the world's top 18 pharma, biotech and medical device companies run capability centres here. Software in this world is about records people can trust. Quality teams need to see who changed a record, when and why. Approvals need a named person behind them. A batch, a deviation or a sample has to be traceable from start to finish. Much of that work still lives in shared drives and spreadsheets that have outgrown the job.
So the buyers here are usually one of three. GCC leaders with a mandate from headquarters and a hiring pipeline that moves slower than the roadmap. Should we run our own Kubernetes cluster?+
Usually not. Self-hosting starts to pay when your managed bill is mostly things you do not use, your workloads are steady rather than spiky, and someone is willing to own the control plane. We run our own on Hetzner, so we know what that job involves. If nobody on your side wants it, managed is cheaper in total even when the invoice is larger.
Do we need Kubernetes at all?+
Often not. Plenty of products are better served by a managed container service, a platform like Railway, or two virtual machines and a good deploy script. Kubernetes earns its place when you run several services, have steady traffic and have people to look after it. We will recommend the least infrastructure that does the job, and say so when that is less than you expected.
Which clouds do you work with?+
AWS most often, then Google Cloud, Azure and Hetzner. We work in whichever one you are already on, because moving clouds is rarely the cheapest fix for a cost or reliability problem. If we think a move is worth it, we will show you the case using your own bill before anyone migrates anything.
Can you cut our cloud bill without a migration?+
Usually, yes. Most of a bill that has grown unchecked is idle capacity, oversized instances, environments left running and data transfer nobody priced, and all of that is fixed where you already are. We will not promise a percentage before we have read the bill. After the first week we can tell you what is realistic and what it takes to get there.
Who is on call?+
Whoever the engagement says, in writing. While we run your infrastructure it can be us, with hours and response times agreed up front. If you are taking it in-house, the handover includes the runbooks, the alert routing and a rota your team can actually staff. We do not leave behind a pager that only we know how to answer.
